Northern NSW Continue Strong Performance At Westfield FFA National Junior Championships For Girls

In their two matches today on Day 2 of the Westfield FFA National Junior Championships for Girls in Canberra, Northern NSW again walked away with a win and a draw, matching their Day 1 results yesterday.

In today’s first match, Northern NSW squandered a 2-0 lead at halftime to allow Victoria Metro back into the game to end in a 2-2 draw. Goal scorers for Northern NSW were Tamworth's Erin Skewes (7') and Cardiff's Tulia Palozzi (15'). Victoria Metro's goals came in the second half in the 22nd and 31st minutes.

In game 2 today, Northern NSW regathered to score a convincing win 3-1 over championships hosts Capital Football in front of a vocal home crowd. Goalscorers for Northern NSW were Tulia Palozzi (19'), Rutherford's Kally Lewis (25') and Tori Farley (28') of Charlestown.

Northern NSW's final pool match will take place tomorrow at 10.30am in a top of the table clash against NSW Metro 1, who currently sit on top of the Group A pool with 10 points, with Northern NSW in second place on 8 points.
